Events

National Migration Week: September 23rd thru the 29th, 2024

“Leading up to September 29, the Catholic Church in the United States will celebrate National Migration Week (September 23-29), calling attention to the challenges confronting migrants and refugees, from their country of origin to their destination, and how Church teaching calls on Catholics to respond with compassionate acts of love.” [USCCB]

World Day of Migrants and Refugees: September 29th, 2024

A message of His Holiness Pope Francis for the 110TH World Day of Migrants & Refugees 2024.

“El Sembrador” is a capacity-building formation program designed to equip parish communities to accompany migrant farmworkers. This program is vital because migrant farmworkers, often separated from their families and living in unfamiliar surroundings, turn to the Catholic Church for a sense of welcome, support, and belonging.

What makes El Sembrador unique is its holistic approach, offering faith formation grounded in the Catholic Social Teaching. This approach fosters mutual transformation, both for the farmworkers and the parish communities that embrace them.
